Does getting married in D&D confer bonuses to your hit die, like how marriage IRL confers a bonus to your taxes?

Almost!

Wedding. You touch adult humanoids willing to be bonded together in marriage. For the next 7 days, each target gains a +2 bonus to AC while they are within 30 feet of each other. A creature can benefit from this rite again only if widowed.

lmao awesome

I also like they can only do it again if they are widowed.

"I'm sorry babe. It's the 8th day and I need the bonus."

That's why I married a zealot barbarian.

Nah probably just a reference to Ceremony giving 2 married creatures +1 AC
