Update: We met and sadly I didn't feel much of a connection. He seemed masc when we spoke on the phone but he's incredibly fem irl, and that just doesn't do it for me. We had a fun day, though, so I'm thankful to rekindle a childhood friendship.
Bummer he wasn't what you're looking for. But a new friend is also a great thing to find.
