Clinton, being a rape apologist and who attacked sexual assault victims of her husband in the media, isn't a girls girl no matter how much money she hands the DNC for rebranding.

I was proud to vote for Kamala. I watched her speeches about women in sex work, and I found her take to be extremely informed and nuanced. She also has great takes on abortion access. Kamala actually earned my vote, I didn't just vote for her because she wasn't Trump. I hope her presidency goes well.

Clinton is to women like Clarence Thomas is to black people.

I voted for Clinton and went "eeeeuugh I wish I hadn't had to do that."

Today I found out all women are actually Donald Glover.

[-] BleatingZombie@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

It's actually the opposite. Donald Glover is all women

[-] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 12 points 1 week ago

Good for them. They should update forms when asking about sex or gender to have "Donald Glover" instead.

I thought Whitney Houston was every woman.

The prefered nomenclature is Gambino, dude.

[-] OppaGundamStyle@discuss.tchncs.de 26 points 1 week ago

Dong Lover!

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

I think that's a dude, though.

[-] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

You get that it’s the idea and not the gender, right?

It’s important that you’re able to make this distinction.

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Of course. I just think it's strange to make a meme that is supposed to be empowering for women and then choose a dude.

[-] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

I don’t think it’s supposed to be empowering. I think it simply illustrates the exasperated state of affairs that has informed their stance on voting.

You’re looking way too deeply into it.

I sure hope so

I saw a better version of this meme yesterday. But I appreciate the variety!

[-] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

The difference between "You go girl!" and "We go girls!"
