As any other community, Linux community has its own principles and tendencies. I'm talking about DIY distros (like Arch), autotiling WMs, programming socks, $30 Thinkpads and similar things here. Of course, I even installed latest MX Linux on my 2007 netbook, with an atom 32 bits, 3GB of RAM, I replaced the old HD with a $20 SSD, works fine, pretty slow in firefox, but works :)
