Perfect for when you accidentally click on one of their embedded posts. Hurray!

[-] metaStatic@kbin.earth 14 points 6 months ago

There's a plugin that disables that trash.

Privacy badger does this.

Every embedded link to Twitter requires you to click to enable them.

[-] BreadOven@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago

I use this as well. Works great for me at least.

Sorry but i imagined something different when i read "enchanted tracking protection"

[-] ReakDuck@lemmy.ml 3 points 6 months ago

For this enchantment, put your electronic device on the Anvil and...

x (formerly twitter)... you mean twitter (desperately x)

even elon calls it twitter dude why are people still pretending they have to honor a rebrand of a company by a dipshit who deadnames and misgenders his own kid.

[-] reksas@sopuli.xyz 12 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

just call it xitter (pronounced shitter) as that is what it is, full of shit

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 5 points 6 months ago

nah, i realize it's popular around here but it still acknowledges the rebrand. I just don't want to.

[-] Zip2@feddit.uk 11 points 6 months ago

I’m sticking with “Twitter (currently known as X)”.

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

it's not though. only musk glazers make an effort to call it x. everyone either says twitter or does something with parentheses. if it were currently known as x people would've stopped mentioning both names. it's been more than a year now. complete failure of a rebrand IMO.

Yea I have a bunch of anti tracking shit on Firefox mobile and desktop and it breaks so many normie sites. If it breaks the site, move on. Fuck em.

[-] Don_alForno@feddit.org 20 points 6 months ago

That means it's working.

[-] Vaggumon@lemm.ee 19 points 6 months ago

Super easy fix, barely an inconvenience. Don't fucking use Twitter.

[-] middlemanSI@lemmy.world 17 points 6 months ago

I cringe so hard when they write "let's". Let's never meet again

[-] doughless@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

I'm a little confused, that's pretty typical usage of the word. Or is it because it comes across a little pretentious? As though they're just trying to cooperate with you to more easily violate your privacy.

[-] elvith@feddit.org 4 points 6 months ago

reloads, cocks gun Yeah, let's give it another shot!

[-] Empricorn@feddit.nl 15 points 6 months ago

If you have the choice between Firefox and Xitter and are conflicted... What are you even doing with your life??

[-] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 10 points 6 months ago

If you're using Twitter, fuck you.

I don't care why you're still on some fascist manchild's propaganda box. Leave. You're already here - you know alternatives exist. Stop visiting the Nazi bar.

[-] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

I deleted that dumpster fire the minute old Space Karen bought it. I wasn't tweeting but I used it to read some people. But I'm ok to give that up to never ever support what fuckface does.

[-] toastal@lemmy.ml 6 points 6 months ago

This is insane lol

It's known to cause issues, such as costing us money instead of making us money, and making your browsing experience slightly more tolerable in this dump
