Taking history into account I get some sympathy for the current mess that is Egypt. They've been ruled by foreign powers (with a couple of short interruptions) 525BC-1952CE. More than 2000 years. No wonder establishing a functional country is hard.

Trivium: Provincium originally just meant an assignment. The "Province of Africa" accordingly would be the assignment to administrate the colony Africa.
