Donald Trump took a bullet for democracy.

No he fucking didn't. He was grazed on a nonessential body part.

The "for democracy" is the bit is that gets me. He's a domestic enemy to our Constitution; and an immediate threat to democracy. He took a bullet for fascism.

Trump didn't take the bullet. The guy in the crowd who was killed by it took the bullet. Trump has never even given him a thought.

They both took a bullet. One fatally. The dead Nazi peon and still-living Nazi leader serve the same anti-American cause, and it cost both of them some flesh.

Just to be clear to the casual reader, it was a Republican Senator quoted as saying that:

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., wrote in a July 21 X post that "Joe Biden succumbed to a coup by Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Hollywood donors, ignoring millions of Democratic primary votes. Donald Trump took a bullet for democracy."

Grazed by a bullet he'd like to put into democracy

Donald Trump took a bullet for democracy

This is what you would have said if the bullet went into his skull and out the other end.

Guys, let's face facts.

They couldn't hide Biden's cognitive decline forever. This is happening to prevent a very real 25th Amendment challenge and/or VERY probable loss to Donald Trump in November.

No, it's not a coup. Biden (and Trump) have brains that are doing what they do when their host bodies get old. It's that simple.

I can't believe we even need to have that rebuttal.

This is like a serial cheater accusing their spouse of having an affair because their partner voluntarily declined to go to a strip club that the cheater is still going to and has openly said they will cheat but only in the first hour just to get laid. And the last time the serial cheater went to a strip club, they tried to rape a stripper but their ex best friend stopped them and now they're not friends because the serial cheater is still mad at them for stopping the rape and insists it was consensual even though we all saw the rape attempt happen live on tv, there's a copy of it available on YouTube, and all the other strippers and club employees said it was definitely a rape attempt. And the serial cheater is also still friends with a physically abusive adulterer they were fucking on the side when they first started dating their spouse, openly picks the abuser over their spouse on social media, and tells the abuser personal info (eg bank account info, front door's PIN, etc) about their spouse.

I mean, you'd have to be a special kind of dumbass to think that.

Fediverse vs Disinformation

Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.

What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.

By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.
