These kind of ones have this natural ability to make me smile. We just love seeing them happy. Must be quite a day to prepare for though, and I always wondered about the little things....
"Maybe...uhh....mffff.....stay there you piece of.....aaaah.... maybe we could make a mount for it... I am sure if we take the screwy bit off the old projector stand, we can attach it to the bottom maybe... I don't know... can't we make some kind of plan?", Max stands back, holding her head with both hands.
Chloe is sitting spread legged on the garage floor next to her, 'violating' a milkshake cup with her tongue trying to lick out the last bit of chocolate sauce.
"I told you, that camera... lick... is not meant... lick.... for this kind of thing, no 'sane' person takes wedding photos with a Polaroid, Max.", Chloe says, finally resorting to spooning the last few chocolate sprinkles out the bottom of her milkshake with her inhumanly long fingers.
Max slumps down next to her, defeated.
"But lucky for you... I'm not sane... and you're not just marrying me for my looks... so don't worry Maxi-Pad... I have a plan... but first, I need a KISS from my belooooooved....", she leans over, and grabs Max's face with her sticky fingers, and starts planting sticky slobbery chocolate kisses all over her fiance's face.
"Chloeeeeeeeee, not with that mouuuuth.... stopppp....I don't know wherrrre it's beeeeen....", Max tries to fight off the taller girl at first, but eventually relents, and accepts her fate.
Chloe leans in, and gently kisses her wife-to-be on her mouth. "Don't worry Maxi, we will make it work... if you want some shots with that camera... then I will make it happen... I promise... do you believe me?"
Max's heart melts when she sees the look of genuine affection on Chloe's face. "I believe you, you big goop... and I love you... thank you... this means a lot to me."
Two weeks later, along the side of the entrance, a small platform has been erected, and its been decorated with huge purple flowers. Mounted in the middle, is a brand new camera tripod, with a special mounting for a Polaroid camera. On the floor next to it rests a huge box of spare film, and a detachable sling, for when the camera is to be carried around the venue.
Kate drags a reluctant Victoria over to the platform, and gives her some last minute instructions on which photos to take as the guests start wandering in.
"I wonder how Chloe managed to afford this set up, its amazing... the spare film alone must have cost her quite a penny..."
"Yeah, who knows... maybe she sold her hair to a smurf or something.", Victoria answers, rolling her eyes.
"Vicky, be nice... this is their big day... now remember, they are counting on you... but more importantly, I am counting on you... you just have to do this until the ceremony is over, and then I will take over...", Kate gives Victoria's hand a soft squeeze, and gives her girlfriend a quick kiss on the cheek.
Victoria tries to hide her red blotchy blushing face with her shoulder as she starts to prepare the camera.
"Yeahwellwhynotgetsomeonelsetodothis youknowhowIfeelaboutthatbluehairedlout andwhointheirrightmindtakeswedding photoswithapolaroidanyway...", Victoria mumbles under her breath. Kate sighs, smiles and sprints off to do her maid-of-honor duties when she hears Chloe's truck roaring into the nature park's parking lot.
Noticing something in the corner of her eye, Victoria slowly walks over to the tripod, bends down, and picks off the small price tag with her nail she had forgotten to remove earlier.
