By me, finding ones in good nic are like finding gold chicken teeth... and the ones that ARE in good condition are very pricey... not to mention the film. I just need to go dig through the boxes, i'm sure ill find it... its probably hidden under my one of a kind, limited edition, golden schlond-poofa... (google it 🤣)

One would think you can pop that doodad out, and find the thread, but nope... nada. It's obviously a localized thing. I can't remember what model I had, but I don't think it had a mount thread, but I could be wrong. Either way, as you said... this story works because Max's one didn't.
