Yeah, fuck having a political party run by a small cabal control everything under the name of communism, that does not work, it's simple economics! What works is a small cabal of corporate groups run by billionaires control everything! That is the only system that will ever work.
It's either that or communism, there is no other system and anyone who says there is is a communist!
What about distributing resources out of a common pool like a life boat would ration supplies to maximize the chances of survival?
We tried that but then the CIA sponsored a group of terrorists shot us up and installed a dictator who took our land and sold it to some fruit companies.

There's been an increase in bad anti-socialist "memes" here lately. I guess Lemmy is becoming mainstream enough to attract facebook humor.
The funny thing is communism isn't about giving everyone stuff for free. That will come from AI.
It would be interesting to tell an AI to mine a metal deposit and it would use robots and drones like playing Starcraft.
AI will be able to not only mine resources, but design products for us, assemble them and deliver them to us without any labor costs. Eventually, Free AIs will provide goods and services to people at no cost. Let the billionaires brag about their money. One day it won't be worth anything. It's only value now is as a leash to control (and exploit) labor. Labor is the actual value (and cost). Once labor is shifted to automation, we will have more equitable existence for others.
The goal of tools is and has always been to reduce human effort...labor. So the end goal of tools like AI is to replace labor. This will make billionaires unhappy, because they lose control of labor, but billions of other lives will be improved drastically.
I'm not convinced that they will share the fruits of AI labor with their now redundant (former) employees.
