I thought they were bagels with an entire block of cream cheese at first.

[-] GreatRam@lemmy.world 27 points 10 months ago

Pretty much New York bagels

[-] SuperSaiyanSwag@lemmy.zip 5 points 10 months ago

That’s literally what I thought the caption was gonna be about when I saw the pic

[-] thesporkeffect@lemmy.world 35 points 10 months ago

[-] Coskii 10 points 10 months ago

You can't be out here frying them jawns with any old batter either. It needs to be either cake or cornbread batter.

What's the term for "cankles", but for the wrists?

[-] lseif@sopuli.xyz 5 points 10 months ago

forearm+wrist = ...forist ? fist ??

[-] apocalypticat@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

forearm + hand = fand? ... harm?

[-] Pulptastic@midwest.social 4 points 10 months ago

Try this-

Get 2 Eggo (or similar) waffles and toast them

Quickly spread some softened ice cream on them and make a sandwich

Enjoy

Blueberry Eggos and vanilla ice cream was one of my favorite combos

Edit: also homestyle buttermilk waffles with pumpkin ice cream

[-] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 17 points 10 months ago

This is what obesity* is about

[-] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world 24 points 10 months ago

You can occasionally enjoy things like this and not be obese

[-] Hugh_Jeggs@lemm.ee 9 points 10 months ago

Look at the amount of fuckin ham that's gripping those doughnuts like their arteries are seizing up already

[-] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

I don't know that one is capable of even seriously entertaining doing this, much less actually doing it, unless there's an eating disorder brewing, at least, lol

But warm donut would make the ice cream melt

[-] fsxylo@sh.itjust.works 23 points 10 months ago

But there's about a 10 second window where it will be one of the best things you ever put in your mouth.

Holy diabeetus. I can feel my pancreas failing just looking at this image.

[-] NiPfi@lemmy.world 12 points 10 months ago

It's not as good as Italian gelato served in a sweet brioche bun, but it'll have to do

[-] superduperpirate@lemmy.world 12 points 10 months ago

If I wasn’t diabetic and I saw this at a fair or carnival, I’d be sorely tempted to try it.

[-] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

If I wasn’t diabetic and I saw this at a fair or carnival, I’d be sorely tempted to try it.

thus explaining the source of the diabetes

[-] superduperpirate@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

It didn’t help that I have several risk factors, but yeah eating this sort of thing all the time in my youth wasn’t a smart decision.

[-] ramenshaman@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

Same. I'd get one for my gf and steal a bite tho

Y'all mean "Diabetes Icecream Sandwiches", right?

: P

[-] Obi@sopuli.xyz 4 points 10 months ago

We're looking at like 800 calories each here, easy.

[-] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Them's rookie numbers. Let's deep-fry this bad boy, coat it in powdered sugar and dip it in chocolate sauce!

[-] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Based on some quick searches, it's probably closer to 550 Cals. Donut is up to 300 and I'm guessing that is a cup of ice cream which ends up being about 250.

Bigger problem is that it's mostly sugar.

Yes, you certainly have the freedom to be a diabetic!

Otherwise, how does this have anything to do with freedom?

[-] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 6 points 10 months ago

I would need to take the day off after eating one of these lol

They do look delicious, just way way too much for me to handle

I was excited that someone finally got the bagel to cream cheese ratio right. Now I'm disappointed.

[-] Squirrel@thelemmy.club 5 points 10 months ago

I'm hungry and tired enough that this looks absolutely amazing right now

[-] librejoe@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

I threw up in my mouth.
