Drunk driving is the perfect sign that you are an entitled asshole. There's no reason to be drunk driving.

[-] meco03211@lemmy.world 76 points 4 months ago

Especially with the money he has. He could have a limo on standby and not notice a dent in his accounts. Just use a damn car service.

[-] ramenshaman@lemmy.world 50 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Dude. You're rich. Take an Uber. You can take another one tomorrow to pick up your fancy car.

[-] BruceTwarzen@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Or crash into a tree and don't take other people with you.

[-] Nobody@lemmy.world 48 points 4 months ago

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be a positive step in Timberlake's mission to bring sexy back.

[-] sunzu@kbin.run 25 points 4 months ago

The way he treated Britney and janet... He never had it...

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 21 points 4 months ago

Anecdotal of course, but my mother was in a position to manage private flights for an airline, she did this for many many years, she let me know that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Beal were the biggest pieces of shit on the planet.

[-] sunzu@kbin.run 8 points 4 months ago

I trust this bro...

This is just how these people are. I really don't understand why we have a culture where peasants worship them or executives or politicians or rich people overall.

It is pathetic yet this is the current standard behavior from most people.

[-] RunningInRVA@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

I only worship Jessica Beal’s behind.

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

For sure. I do also just want to make a note, VIPs were what she dealt with, celebrities, ceos, politicians, but she never really had anything to say about most behavior because it was somewhat normalized, those two went above and beyond.

[-] BruceTwarzen@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

That is not exclusively, but mainly an american thing.

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

He treated them fine. Brittany was bad to him. I suspect Janet wanted the top pulled off. The press and music industry did Janet wrong, but Timberlake was not bad to those ladies.

[-] sunzu@kbin.run 15 points 4 months ago

Hmmm getting some conflicting info here...

Didn't he brag about popings her cheery around 2000? What did she do to him to warrant that?

Are we just assuming Janet was asking for it?

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

The Superbowl thing was pretty clearly a publicity stunt gone wrong. Makes a lot more sense being planned by Jackson's side vs Timberlake's.

And so what if he bragged about being her first? She dumped him pretty publicly. Everyone knew it at the time. The "Cry Me A River" music video was revenge for that whole situation, and the public ate it up because we all knew she did him wrong. It kick-started his solo career.

[-] sunzu@kbin.run 2 points 4 months ago

Yeah you aint really bringing anything here beyond different interpretation of the same facts.

[-] WhatsHerBucket@lemmy.world 42 points 4 months ago

He’s not Nsync with the law anymore

[-] criitz@reddthat.com 9 points 4 months ago

By the time he gets out of jail
it's gonna be May

[-] meleethecat@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

He should’ve just kept with driving crazy.

[-] PunnyName@lemmy.world 30 points 4 months ago

Good. I want all drunk drivers arrested.

  1. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed.

[-] rand_alpha19@moist.catsweat.com 26 points 4 months ago

This isn't gossip, the police department confirmed that it happened. Recent developments about prominent figures are news even if you don't think it's newsworthy.

Do you think that "gossip" means things that aren't true?

Recent developments about prominent figures are news even if you don’t think it’s newsworthy.

The rules of this community disagree with you.

[-] lanolinoil@lemmy.world 17 points 4 months ago

casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

The actual non-assumed definition of 'gossip' ^

All posts must be news articles.

I'm not sure where you went wrong, but maybe take a few minutes before coming in so hot next time

Just because the post complies with one rule doesn't mean that it is now exempt from all other rules. I already posted the part of the rules which it violates: "No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed."

I’m not sure where you went wrong, but maybe take a few minutes before coming in so hot next time

What does "coming in so hot" mean? Posting something that you disagree with?

[-] lanolinoil@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

The first 2 lines of my previous comment focuses on your other rule issue.

This is none of the things in your list using the proper definition of gossip.

Coming in hot

I was suggesting you should pause before acting because you were confidently incorrect about the definition of the word gossip.

[-] Dendr0@fedia.io 4 points 4 months ago

"Prominent figures" - artificially manufactured entertainers are prominent figures in terms of news?

[-] rand_alpha19@moist.catsweat.com 5 points 4 months ago

Yeah, where have you been? The concept of a celebrity is not new.

[-] Dendr0@fedia.io 1 points 4 months ago

See that's where I made my mistake. I forgot that people are much more invested in others' lives, rather than the events that occur around them. My bad, you're right. It's vital that we know what's going on in Justin Timberlake's life at all times.

[-] rand_alpha19@moist.catsweat.com 3 points 4 months ago

Where did I say it's vital? Lol. I don't give a shit. But it's still news. I don't care about everything that's in the news, do you? Sounds exhausting.

[-] edwardbear@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

You may hate me but it ain’t no lie, drugs i did buy buy buy

[-] Joelk111@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Is it now called a DWI instead of DUI? That threw me for a loop.

[-] WoahWoah@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Depends on the state, but DUI is a broader category encompassing driving while being under the "influence" of something: drugs, alcohol, etc

DWI is usually specifically driving while intoxicated by alcohol.

[-] geography082@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

What is DWI . English is not my primary language and I have to guess acronyms ?
