Anything with over-the-top embarrassment-style comedy makes me super uncomfortable and I have to leave the room. Think Dumb and Dumber or American Pie.

Also, when people start excessively arguing with each other, I become very anxious and stressed out. It’s not so much about physical violence, but any screaming and/or yelling really triggers me.

I do have past trauma regarding these types of scenarios, so it’s not uncommon or surprising to me. 🫤

I understand that. I feel the same way.

Hereditary is such a good movie, but the family arguments give me so much anxiety.

Torture scenes or any excessive realistic inflicting of physical pain really get to me. I normally have to step away. So any movie like Hostel or the like is off my view lists.

Same I imagine I feel exactly what’s happening to the victim to the point where I’ll get a real dull pain where the onscreen character is having pain inflicted. One time I saw someone get their front teeth broken out in a movie and for a day after my top teeth felt very sensitive.

Fuck mirror neurons.

I fast forward through suspenseful movies to skip the anxiety
