That's an easy fix, you can pay someone or do it yourself. Just search "rimjob" and you will find videos

Yeah, but is really hard to do it yourself. Make sure you get someone to help you.

I handle all my own rimjobs. It was difficult at first, but learning to be flexible when these problems arise is ultimately a very satisfying endeavor.

I know a guy. Just ask rimjob_steve.

Something is wrong. The shim is not holding correctly. I think the spokes might be over tensioned, but I would try and replace it.

I am a former Buyer for a bike shop chain. I've handled thousands of bikes. This is not normal.

That, to me, screams out of round. I'd be worried.

Worried. Very worried. Return ASAP. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

That wheel will break in no time if you use it. Your neck may break, too.

Return it.

I can’t ride a bicycle but that looks fucked to me bruv

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago

Definitely looks broken.

Just echoing what others have said here. That’s one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen.

It looks kinda broken to me but I'm not an expert on rims.

[-] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 months ago

Perhaps a rim amateur?

[-] Nacktmull@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

If you did not build that wheel yourself, just return it right away.

[-] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

That won't buff out.
