I think that font is more offensive.
Idk why, but it seems to help my dyslexia. ¯\(ツ)/¯
There are non-awful fonts designed specifically for dyslexia.
So I went looking, and found this
Which also looks weird to me, but if it makes it easier for someone with dyslexia to use their phone then I'm all for it :)
Basically mirrored letters are bad for dyslexia
Oooooh, that makes sense! And also randomly reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Lisa can't deciper the cereal box clue even though everyone else gets it.
Thanks. Sent that to my son.
I know Amazon also developed some very un-janky dyslexic typefaces for the Kindle, but I don't know if they can be had for free.
Oh taht mkeas snsee.

Just use one of the many open source Lemmy apps, such as Voyager or Jerboa. They don't have ads.
Yeah jerboa have a similar to boost UI too .
Or pay the app developer the £3.59 one time fee they are asking for for the hard work they've put into making the app good.
Why, when free and open source alternatives exist? I don't know about you, but I'd rather donate to something like Jerboa, than spend the same amount of money supporting proprietary software. Especially as Lemmy itself is an open source protocol.
I read this as goog leads.
Thanks, I hate it.
I've gotten ads for that thing too. I think it's because Google ads really only knows that you're on social media and little more so it just shoves ads for "social media" at you and then this happens. I think, at least kinda, that it's reassuring seeing ads so disconnected from my usage of the app since it implies little information is being sent to third party advertisers.
Next time I get paid I'll just pay the dev though tbh
