The dealer is telling him not to try anything stupid because he's armed.
Seriously. Just because he didn't know the type of gun doesn't mean it was a threat. It sounds like he was just saying "just fyi there's a gun out", because lots of people will freak the fuck out if they see a gun.
You're dead. The gun would be out where you can't touch it. They're a dealer; not a range. You would agree to a robbery.
If you KNOW them, you should he fine, MAYBE.
This is coming from someone who played the game.

Edit: this based on the context of someone saying they have a gun out. Why would you say that? They're either stupid or going to rob you. Enjoy taking your chances. I will continue to buy my substances from people who don't brandish their gun over text.

Eh, if you know your dealer well enough to be invited in, and be made aware they're armed, it isn't a high level risk.
I mean, that could be a locality based thing, I guess, but I've known some dealers of a lot is substances over the years, and they don't invite people in often, much less to come in and use. If anything, they're going to tell you to fuck off if you ask to use the product in their crib.
Again, could just be that that ones I've known are different based on regional drug culture, I dunno.
Weed dealers do tend to be a little more chill though.
Don't buy from dealers that are casual about guns? If someone is braking that many laws at a time, they're a hazard. They're brandishing over text. That's up there with carrying too much, not following traffic laws, being loud, drinking and driving, using radio scanners, etc...
A good dealer will pull up in a Toyota cammery outside of InnOut, looking like your dad.
Some dealers will he also be legit, but rob people they don't know. This would be the perfect way to have a gun out and rob them while they're calm. You were dumb enough to show up; now you're a target.
Fuck this take, if you’re buying weed and the dude tells you he has a gun out then fuck off and go somewhere else.
The vast majority of dealers are just regular people who happen to sell weed as a side job. Being willing to sell a plant that's legal for the majority of people in the US and should be legal everywhere doesn't imply being willing to rob you at gunpoint.
I know there's red flags but he includes a free dab with the purchase :(
