The article discusses recent ethics questions surrounding Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas regarding his ties to an organization called the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. Thomas has close relationships with many wealthy members of this organization who have given him access to luxury vacations, sporting events, and parties. Some of these members have also financed a documentary defending Thomas. Critics argue these benefits and close ties create conflicts of interest and ethics issues for a Supreme Court justice.
