It's a bit high horse-y but other than my parents' Netflix, I just switched to paying for journalism. You get used to after a while, honestly.

But full disclosure my partner does stream a lot, so I get it kind of ambiently.

Yeah, I have Netflix and YouTube (God please don't inundate my inbox with ways to get around the YouTube ads. 1. I'm tech illiterate and 2. At least some of that goes to the creators I want to support)

I totally agree with you about YouTube, I am tech stupid, too. I watch it every day on multiple devices, and it's worth it to pay for it just to make life easier

The value prop is high. I just don't like that it's part of the YouTube ad machine.

But materially speaking it is a good deal for what you get
