There is no currency in bartering. Its the term for trading things directly. I have bread, you have apples, you give me apples and I give you bread.

I guess the sarcasm detection of lemmings is similarly bad as the one of redditors? Nobody is seriously suggesting that bartering is the way to go. I'm just pointing out that asking about currency in the context of bartering makes no sense. The user who replied before did that in a joking manner.
