Boy I am generally against defederating but having that large a mass of humanity come in is making me rethink it.
I've said it many times, anyone willing to give Meta even the tiniest bit of the slightest of the doubt is at best incredibly naive.
I'm going to repost here what I just ~~write~~ wrote elsewhere:
Meta's presence is corrosive by its' very nature.
There will be a sugar rush up front, diabetes down the road.
They WILL find a way to insert themselves more severely if and when this thing grows.

The power of the Fedi is that YOU, personally can block the whole domain with a click and it will never enter your feed. Don't sweat the little stuff and Threads is definitely the little stuff.
yeah ultimately that is what I want. access to everything with with as much control as a user as is possible.
