Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon.

What are you playing now and what are you looking forward to playing next?

Usually Indies, a lot of slay the spire recently, but I've just started Street Fighter VI.

Tempted by System Shock next cos I never played the original.

The system shock remake is honestly one of the best games of the year, even while being a remake.

I literally just bought it today. I knew it was going to come out this year but somehow missed the release. I'm pretty excited to play it (after I finish Zelda).

What are some good indies that play fine on the Steam Deck? I'd like to use it more but don't own many games that are compatible and have "comfortable", smooth controls. I tried to play some of my favorite games on the Deck and figuring out the controls broke my brain.

Vampire survivors and all the other games in the "bullet heaven" genre play great. Stardew and every farming style top of game plays great. Some deck builders play great. Action games like hollow knight and Steamworld games. Lots of options.

Art of Rally, Nova Drift, Shovel Knight, Celeste, Stanley Parable, Hollow Knight, Project Wingman, Tunic, Katana Zero, Stardew Valley, Vampire Survivors.

I've found racing games, walking simulators, and retro style games tend to work well since they are usually designed with controllers in mind. Surprisingly a lot of point and click games work quite well with the track pads.
