President Joe Biden had conspiracy theorists in a tizzy after posting what appeared to be his reaction to the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win on Sunday night.

“Just like we drew it up,” Biden posted on X alongside a photo of “Dark Brandon,” the meme created by hardcore—and very online—supporters of Donald Trump that Biden and his team loved so much they adopted it as their own.

The post was apparently referencing far-right conspiracy theories which posit the NFL and high-level government operatives conspired to rig the Super Bowl in Kansas City’s favor to give maximum exposure to a yet-to-be-announced endorsement from Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

  1. Why would anyone think Biden is actually posting this shit to social media himself?

  2. Why do they keep hiring interns that want to make Biden seem like trump?

All I want is a functional adult in the White House. But that's just not an option these day.

I'd ask if "moderates" ever feel embarrassed over this stupid shit, but it's been obvious for decades their line is habitually right above republican.

So whatever bullshit Republicans are fine with, give it 4-8 years and both parties are going to act like it's normal.

Biden could have given the traditional pre game interview and alleviated fears of his ability. Instead he cancels it for the second year in a row and the media pretends he's posting "dank memes" and that's just as good.

  1. I don't care.

  2. What?

All I want is a functional adult in the White House.

You have one. Hence the U.S. economy getting back on track, inflation dropping, unemployment low, fuel costs low and infrastructure finally getting rebuilt. Plus much cheaper insulin for seniors.

Ohhhhh! Wait, what you meant is that all you want is someone to do exactly what you want them to do. My mistake.

Exactly what do you expect Biden to do about that?

[-] BadEngineering@kbin.social 33 points 11 months ago

He should be like Jimmy Carter and start building them homes himself, by hand. /s

Anything would be better than the gas lighting bullshit they're trying to pull at the moment.

what "gaslighting" is biden doing about homelessness?

No all you want to do is shit on Biden because it's all you do. Apparently adults can't have a sense of humor.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

Me, I'm just blocking and moving on. I've seen enough of the Macedonian Contractor Troll Farm pablum. They're in every politics thread now.

And just like the highly suspicious stop oil protests that inexplicably target museums, I don't disagree with some of their points at all but the way they're being complete fucking idiots about it means we're done here.

You think Dark Brandon didn’t do this? You simple fool…

[-] Uranium3006@kbin.social 14 points 11 months ago

I got a chuckle out of it. the real problem with biden is he's funding a genocide abroad while going easy on secessionists at home.

[-] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

He's got a couple.

But mentioning them in comments or articles gets a shit ton of down votes.

People really think talking about problems is worse than the problems and we should ignore them

[-] voracitude@lemmy.world 33 points 11 months ago

It's not because we don't think problems should be talked about, it's that you're comparing a functional adult to Trump and acting like you can't tell the difference. I'll help, there's only one real difference: Biden isn't a fucking traitor. That's the one that we care about.

So drop the act, bud. This one is too simple even for the dullards like me to forget: Trump is a traitor, Biden is not, and we don't vote for traitors.

[-] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

Nope

Biden is a better president than trump, that's indisputable.

That doesn't mean Biden is good enough to be president.

Hell, I don't even know you, but I fell confident you're better than trump. If you wouldn't support a genocide, I'd say you're a better option than both of them.

It's a pretty low bar, lots of potential candidates not only would be a better president, but more importantly have a better chance of winning the election.

[-] voracitude@lemmy.world 17 points 11 months ago

Hey, I want AOC to run, but until then I'm not going to discourage people from voting for the only candidate who's not going to piledrive the US headfirst into the dirt.

So again, drop the act. Yeah you want a better candidate than Biden, great; that's not the choice. The choice is Biden or Trump. If you don't vote for Biden, your voting for Trump. If you don't believe that fine, stop reading; if you do, there's nothing more to say anyway.

[-] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago

You still don't get it...

This is the same shit we went thru with Hillary.

Biden is unpopular. He will depress turnout. Depressed turnout is how republican presidents are made.

I hope some day you get that, but I'm not explaining it again.

[-] voracitude@lemmy.world 16 points 11 months ago

YOU still don't get it. On the surface, you act like Biden and Trump are the same, when they're not. It's nice you think I'd make a better president than Trump, but a literal rock would make a better president as that's incapable of treason.

Unless you have a plan to change the Democratic nominee this year, all you're doing is depressing voter turnout by encouraging people to forget one simple fact: Biden is not a traitor.

I do hope you'll understand someday soon, but until then you can have this block, because I'm not explaining it again.
