What Linux distribution or distributions do you personally use?

I myself am a daily Void user. I used to use Devuan, but wanted to try rolling release and ended up loving Void!

What are your thoughts on the Pinephone? Do you use it regularly or as a daily driver or is it more just a device you tinker with here and there? I've been thinking of getting one for a while but haven't been able to convince myself to pull the trigger, even with how affordable it is.

I just tinker with mine, the software just isn't mature enough for daily driver use for the majority of users, myself included.

you weren't asking me but i'll hop in :P. i've had all the pinephones. the ogs are pretty rock solid and can easily be daily driven... if you dont mind the speed. the hardware is slug pace. the pro is quite peppy but the software isnt all there yet and battery life aint awesome. but very close. been driving my pro for like 4 days. lost i think two texts. ~3 to 4 hrs screen on time. but if you check my page, i'm obvi a stan

I got the standard pinephone a year or two ago and found that the hardware just wasn't ready to be a daily driver (not sure if or what might've changed since). They only get a few hours of battery life with the screen on which just didn't suit me as a daily driver. and that's on-top of running on low-end hardware.

Neat tech to play with as a dev, but I just don't see it being ready for regular use right now.

I daily drive the Pinephone Pro as my second phone. If you like to live on the edge like me, it's for you. Otherwise distros like mobian support sd845 devices like the OnePlus 6 and the experience seems to be overall quite good now. Just keep in mind, it's a small young platform Made mostly by hobbyists, not android and not iOS.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
