Indicting him has only made him stronger.

Will liberals learn anything from that?

Though clearly Republicans aren't learning anything from it either, because now they're impeaching Biden.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 33 points 2 years ago

So he should have just been allowed to get away with it all?

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

He's going to get away with it regardless.

[-] morphballganon@mtgzone.com 8 points 2 years ago

That's deflection. Answer the question.

He should be in a work camp and forced to work until he dies, along with every other billionaire.

[-] morphballganon@mtgzone.com 2 points 2 years ago

So what better option was there than indictment?

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

Nothing that Democrats would be interested in. That'd require going outside the precious norms. Instead they've just given him free publicity lol

[-] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Prosecutors don't bring cases forward that they think they will lose but you know better than them, don't you?

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

I don't think that actually matters. The law doesn't matter to things like him or any of his cultists.

[-] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

So what do you think will happen if he's convicted and sentenced to jail? Will the judge be like , "oh, I heard the defendant and his cultists say the law doesn't matter, I guess we'd better just let him walk free."

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I don't think he'll lose a single vote lol

This is Biden's race to lose. Trump's vote is locked in, so it all comes down to how many votes Biden gets because that's the only number that will change depending on what happens.

And Trump going to jail won't gain Biden any votes

Stronger to who exactly? Registered Republicans are at their lowest numbers since the early 20th century. He is the least popular person in the United States. Literally, you would have to be the dumbest moron on the planet to support him.

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

His cult is more loyal than ever. The idea was always to peal away Republican support, but now he owns the Party.

[-] thesprongler@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

Indicting him didn't do it, spending 18 hours a day talking about it did.

[-] Ubermeisters@lemmy.zip 10 points 2 years ago

This isn't Dragon Ball Z motherfucker he isn't going Super Saiyan
