This is for discussion on dry herb vaporizers and showing off your setups.

MODERATORS
I recently got back into vaping. 15 years ago, I used to use a box with a whip at my desk and thought it was pretty awesome.
I switched to cartridges for the most part for a while, but decided to try dry herb vaping again.
Holy shit. Dry Herb Vaping technology is much more impressive these days. I've been tasting flavors like never before and I feel healthier.
Again, I wouldn't make the FW my primary, but it's currently in the daily rotation with the TM2 and Mighty+.
Definitely recommend having one for at least the novelty.
Lol yeah 15 years ago I was right there with ya - cheap chinese vape bro's knockoff I overpaid for like $200 at the local smoke shop. It was terrible.
I have had the luxury of sampling literally countless dry vaporizers. It's been fun to watch the industry grow since those early days when it first started to "take off"
I wonder if the FW9 uses the same dosing capsules as the FW8 - I make a loading tray for that size capsule.
Any stand-outs other than the FW, TM and Mighty? Are you more a portable or desktop vaper?
Yes, the capsules are the same size between 8 and 9.
I mean there are favorites but I really just enjoy all dry vaporizers and trying them out. I like an Arizer Air Max with a waterpipe adapter for an extended vaporbonging session. The Lotus vaporizer with a j-hook and a crook of water in the hook to create a natural percolator is sublime.
The LSV from 7th floor is damn near a religious experience hitting a whole gram through the long stem. But I like my XQ2 more for social gatherings and versatility, etc.
I also recently upgraded my Dynavap vapcap with their new titanium helix tip which is a work of art and has turbocharged the performance of the device. All I need now is an armored cap and it'll be an epic analog device.
Of course for niche, you can't forget about the Venus Apollo - it used a small halogen lightbulb as a RADIANT heat source! Sadly the software was too confusing and I could never master using the device.
And if you don't have one already, you should look into a subohm 510 attachment - it's always fun to surf waves of vapor/heat by pulsing heat to an oven on demand (kinda like the TM2, but a lot more customization depending on what battery you use to power the heater).
Great info here, thank you for the response. I don't think I'll be avoiding VAS :)
Lucky for me, I get to claim them as a business expense because I can't test-fit products if I don't have a copy of the device for testing purposes! haha. Plus one of my friends who lives two hours north of me has a collection of essentially every vaporizer made in the past 15 years (including many that never made it to the market, either early samples, or proof of concepts which went nowhere) - he works in the industry as well.
By all means don't hesitate to ask how one device might compare to another device, because chances are I've likely played with them at some point lol
Dang man, you sound like a good friend to have!
I was curious if you also do custom commissions.
For sure I do custom orders all the time. However my availability for custom projects varies throughout the year. This summer was very slow so I worked on a bunch of new stuff including a whole new brand for my Home & office gear (stuff not associated with dry herbal vaporizers lol). However we're leading into the fall where my wholesale partners worldwide start to stock up for the holiday season. In fact I just finished two massive jobs which required all my machines in the farm running 24/7 for over a month straight with zero downtime lol.
I need more machines, but I've run out of power in my studio and need to hire an electrician to run more power! lol
But yes, I'm totally down, here's a contact form for special order requests when you're ready - https://delta3dstudios.com/custom-order-request/
Cool man. Thank you again for the information. Quite the operation you've got going! Congratulations.
Lol, for sure this industry has done plenty for me over the past decade - dropping some knowledge is the least I can do to give back.
Thanks, D3DS is purely a labor of love with zero corporate overlords. It started as a small side hustle, I never thought it'd turn into a global brand with customers and retail partners worldwide.
