I can tell you're not in the US because it apparently took you less than a year to see a different neurologist.
I wish I wasn't in the US.
As long as it's in the same hospital, we can actually see a different specialist fairly quickly. We only managed to get seen in 2 weeks because of a canceled appointment, otherwise it would be more like 4-8 months. We had to wait 6 months for the first appointment.
