Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

MODERATORS
They should have different tiers for the 30% cut, but they offer developers much more than any other platform. It's all bundled in their universal 30% cut.
Regarding your second point, they can have lower prices on other platforms. They just can't sell steam keys for less on other platforms.
For example, I can sell a game for $30 on steam, a steam key for $30 on another platform, or the same game for $10 but with no steam key on another platform.
