Uh, I don't think that's why most modern parents go for it. The reason I've heard is "so he looks like his father does."

Do men typically show it to their kids? Why would it matter to the child?

What if the kid has curly hair after the mother's parents? Would they shave it too?

My mom, an RN, had me mutilated because "it reduces the risk of transmitting HPV".
