Can someone ELI5 ... or ELI haven't seen either of these movies and don't know if these are quotes from people involved or the general sentiment of the messages of the movies?

I need to give DC movies more credit, I think...
I didn't watch Captain America but in Superman, Superman shoves a dictator that's clearly a stand in for Netenyahoo into a cactus and Hawkgirl, who has no issue with killing, drops him from the sky.
In the Captain America movie, US President gets turned into a hulk and wrecks some junk (and maybe screws up some other stuff, maybe commits war crimes? Idk, I just watched some summary videos). ~~The message is that none of that really matters; patriotism and loyalty to your leadership is important and so we should look past all that.~~ The message is that that's not enough of a reason for the death penalty / extra judiciously killing the guy; sending him to prison and respecting the justice system is important, regardless of who the accused is / what they've done. (Edited in light of response indicating I got the story wrong).
In Superman, a major plot point is a tacitly abstracted Israel/Gaza conflict. Superman continues to delay/obstruct the invasion by kidnapping the leader of parallel Israel, taking him to the middle of the desert, and dropping him from crazy high (and catching him before he hits the ground) to get him to back down.
What? Brave New World ends with Captain America putting the president in jail. I have no idea what would make you think the movie promotes an "obey no matter what" policy. That you would even suggest that it does leads me to suspect that you're not being entirely honest here. There's a difference between shitposting and flat-out disinformation.
Like I said, I didn't actually watch the new Captain America movie, just some summary videos. That was my takeaway from those. I'll edit my comment to better reflect that they jail the President in the end.

Hopefully this has been instructive in how you can't trust the Internet, especially YouTube/TikTok. Since from your perspective I am also an anonymous Internet rando, I suggest that you distrust what I have claimed too, and see for yourself by looking up the movie's wikipedia article or some other source that's more trustworthy than an anonymous Internet rando. It's important to develop that habit - to verify things for yourself, and to figure out which sources you can rely on.

I didn't see the movie, but if someone is dropped from hundreds of meters, then catched before he hits the ground, the instant deceleration has the same effect of hitting the ground, no?
Superman is weird; flying around at supersonic speeds would also cause some severe abrasions and likely suffocation, but supes drags Lois around all over the world in comics. Iirc, canonically he has some intrinsic powers, like a forcefield to protect passengers in flight, telekinetic abilities that work in tandem with physical touch to prevent him from ripping through things accidentally, and apparently the ability to prevent damage when catching things at terminal velocity.
No no, that only happens if you are Gwen Stacy.

Hitting cement and decelerating over 0.001 meters? Instant death.
Hitting heroes arms and decelerating over 0.01 meters? Totally fine, no injuries, good to head back to work or whatever.
In the Captain America movie we learn that the current [MCU] President was near the same blast that created the first Hulk. Yadda yadda, the President becomes the Red Hulk and ends up in jail. Harrison Ford plays the President and he's sorrowful for what happened and Captain America is also sad.
In Superman, Superman explicitly uses his powers to stop a genocidal war and the dictator gets killed. At one point Lois Lane questions if just having super powers gives Clark the right to do anything he wants, even if it's good?
If you haven't seen the MCU movies, see 'Black Panther' first. Then see 'Captain America - The Winter Soldier.' imho, those are the only two that would be interesting if you took out the super hero stuff.
Superman is a pretty fun movie. It was made by a fan boy, so it can be confusing if you don't know who The Element Man or Krypto are.
No, the president (a formerly retired US army general named Ross who had been hunting the Hulk for years) is revealed to have been holding a character from the first Hulk movie in prison for years without trial and forcing that character (Samuel Sterns, AKA The Leader) to use his incredible genius to do two things: 1 - help him with his heart condition (which was what had forced his retirement in the first place) and 2 - help him win the presidency. It is then revealed that The Leader, instead of simply curing his heart condition, has been seeking revenge by dosing him slowly with a substance that has turned him into another Hulk; this one red.
The Leader then instigates a series of events which politically embarrass Ross and put him under increasing stress in the hopes of triggering a public hulkout which will ruin him. In this, he succeeds, and Captain America is forced to try and stop the Red Hulk somehow without killing him. Cap eventually succeeds in calming him down, at which point he reverts to Ross and is promptly imprisoned in super-jail.

I watched it but forgot most ofnit besides the part where even Sam is like "Why the fuck am I, a normal man, Captain America? Like Bucky here has super soldier shit AND a robot arm.
Heh, that's fair, I think everyone was asking that question, especially during the Red Hulk fight. Vibranium only goes so far as an explanation for superhuman feats, I think. Still there was more nuance in the story and moral goals of the movie than I noticed at the time, but it did end up feeling like kind of an empty bridge to the next MCU thing rather than its own story. Ah well, it still wasn't the worst.

The funny thing is that, iirc, Bucky was deemed unsuitable to be Captain america due to the whole Soviet / Hydra assassin thing.
However, in Thunderbolts, it's okay for him to be a member of Congress???
Watch Black Panther for the soundtrack alone even, and maybe that Busan car chase.
Here's my beef with Black Panther. They used every stale trope from every other Marvel movie in the script. Hero fights his evil version [Ant Man and Iron Man] Hero fights a member of his family [every Thor movie] Hero is presumed dead [Winter Soldier]
Klaw would have been a much better baddie than Killmonger.

Sandman can serve as an introduction to Metamorpho. And I'm not sure why we need an explanation for Krypto; it's a super dog - is that not enough?
Yeah, I don't know shit about DC and I was fine not having any real background on anyone. Krypto especially.
After watching Supergirl though, I was annoyed.
I liked the plot, but it was too shallow and heavy handed. They could have spent a little more time on the writing. The bad guy was absolutely one dimensional and completely forgettable.
Also, so many deus ex machina macguffins. I guess you need to when you have a "Kryptonian" but they should have just kept her on a red planet and had her deal with everything without her super powers.
Then after she wins, have her get to a yellow sun and do super stuff for the fans. But the 72 hour poison, kryptonite darts, "Krem has the strength of a thousand men", ... that was just so lame.
Where is their production money going because it's clearly not being spent on writing?

So tired of homicidal maniacs being "brought in for justice."I've not seen the movie yet, but the comic it is based on is absolutely phenomenal and structured as a sort of myth telling exercise examining personal grief and effectively godhood. The villains are supposed to be one dimensional and incidental to Supergirl's story.

In superman there's an evil dictator from a fictional country that gets dropped by a flying superhero (not superman). In captain america someone injects the president with a hulk serum and causes chaos.(Honestly haven't seen that one but I think that's it lol)
