Got ban from a bunch of AI instances

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"
A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
bdzer0's claim to be anarchist yet wholly embracing AI is some cognitive dissonance that I cannot wrap my head around.
Genuinely my biggest gripe with their entire instance. How do they not realize that by using LLMs you rob yourself of the chance to gain new skills in art or coding?
I never trust taxi drivers who use an electronic map. Taxi drivers should know all of the streets by heart, and be able to accurately predict road congestion, like they did in the good old days. By using this evil navigation technology, their spatial awareness withers and it is just a shame.
I mean, it is true that if you don't use a GPS or an electronic map that you do develop a better awareness of your surroundings and the street mapping. Same way using a guide to something doesn't let you really remember and commit to memory the task you're doing.
It's just that AI exacerbates that tendency tenfold, because you don't even have to follow a guide if the guide does it for you.
knowing streets and predicting road congestion are not creative acts, that is they are not creating something
Wow, okay. I mean I was being sarcastic with my comment, but now I kinda regret it. Way to cheapen another profession's talents and trade.
Plus the fact that they are literally sucking up to techbro billionaire oligarchs pushing this nonsense by doing so.
I guess the techbro in them overrules the anarchist.
How does running a Chinese model locally on your computer suck up to techbro billionaire oligarchs?
Techbro oligarchs would love nothing more than for you to use AI because it ultimately turns your brain into soup from its sycophantic behaviour. Many cases of AI psychosis have appeared and a lot of stories of suicides spurred on by LLMs have come out.
The billionaires push LLMs on everyone because it'll turn you into political cattle. Locally run models won't help you because the problems don't come from the fact that other models are run on their private servers, it comes from the effects of prolonged AI usage.
they oddlly crossbanned me from multiple comms i dont vist at all, thier reason was a vague"whatabotism" i couldnt find the actual offense, checked the modlogs. so i think they did it like some reddit subs did. i participate din a comm they dint like and just crossbanned me.
Me too - stable_diffusion_furry isn’t a comm I had ever heard of, let alone something I’m actually interested in as a topic lol
What a strange take. That's like saying you couldn't be trotskyist and embrace industry in 1919.
