Protein folding uses machine learning, not AI / LLM

You think law makers know enough to write legislation that takes that into account? Considering how destructive all the online safety acts are, they don't even know how the Internet works.

I think its enough of a distinction without additional legislation.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that law makers will write a law that makes it illegal to use AI and fail to define what they mean by AI. AI includes everything from A* pathfinding in games to machine learning to LLMs. What everyone here in FuckAI hates is LLMs.

Hell, I don't even think you and I are qualified enough to write laws about this stuff. I'm pushing the envelope of my knowledge here and I've built AI for games. I doubt law makers who think this shit is magical are qualified to do it.

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
