Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I’m all over the other recent thread telling people there isn’t one. Especially for what you describe there isn’t one.
I have used mullvad in a similar way and can’t recommend anything else for it.
I can recommend the book aesthetics of resistance to help apply balm to the soul of a person who wants to switch.
"aesthetics"? Wheat and chaff, bro.
If there's an alternative that doesn't empower a nazi, although a bit less convenient, it's a no-brainer switch.
It’s a famous historical novel about the stuff people did in europe around the time of ww2.
The book is kinda big and complex but one of the things that stuck out to me is all the ways people’s different beliefs were compromised in order to accomplish different goals sometimes as imperative as survival.
It’s a pretty good book.
Anyway, like I said, there is not an alternative. If a person doesn’t actually need a bulletproof vpn then some other services might work if that person is careful about using them.
