If you want to feel like a big, stompy, slow robot, there aren't many choices besides Mechwarrior 5. Armored Core also features big robots, but they're considerably more agile - they're gundams, if you will.
Vox Machinae seems to be very close in spirit to Mechwarrior style. Also supports VR.
Front Mission games are turn based tactical RPGs and you can customize your mechs a lot.
EDF (Earth Defense Force) 4, 5 and 6 has some mechs you can bring and pilot in some missions, though it's not the focus of the game.
It's worth mentioning that as a Square/Enix property, the mech customization is much more Final Fantasy than Mechwarrior though. It doesn't matter to me, but it doesn't have that "paper doll" UI that is core to Mechwarrior style games. That said, the actual mech body is far more customizable with swappable legs and arms.
