I've been noticing a lot of event flyers with KEY information missing, like dates, costs, locations, etc.
I'm almost certain all these flyers are AI generated.
Here goes the process when you are creating a flyer like an old fuddy-duddy that knows how to connect to a 300 baud modem by whistling:
- You write all the key information down in a document.
- You double check all the key information in the document.
- You format and add graphics.
- Print.
But when you're using AI it's:
- Tell AI to create you a flyer with some information you type in randomly to see what it looks like.
- AI generates a flyer that looks pretty damn professional to you.
- Print without proof-reading or checking for complete information.
A second thing I noticed is AI-generated with BLANK spaces that you fill in with a pen before copying. What the fuck is that? You have a fucking billion dollar machine boiling a gallon of water so you don't have to write anything; why are you using a pen?
I swear to God, my boss made an Independence Day Barbecue Flyer using AI with
Location:_________ Date:___________ Cost:__________
printed and then filled in by hand.
Of course a work 4th of July Party isn't on a Saturday, so the big top banner says 4th OF JULY PICNIC and then he's scrawled in "Date: 7/2" and it all just makes no sense.
Today a buddy invited me to his Fourth of July Party with a text message JPEG flyer. Listed were the start of dinner, start of dancing, and start of fireworks, and the address. But when do I show up? Not listed.
Ugh.
I say good day to you, sir.
