That the American Supreme Court is made up of political lifetime appointees is entirely insane
I think most people can agree with the original idea for why it was done that way, though. to protect the court from pressured rulings and repercussions for ruling against government/the powerful.
Unfortunately no one predicted that not only would political parties form, but that one of them would become a force hellbent on undermining the country and overturning it for their foreign masters and interests.
Noone? George Washington warned about them in his farewell address?
