i used to deny i was one, but i'm 4 musicians short of my inappropriate grateful dead tribute church choir (i already have 9 musicians! so excited! now we just need instruments! and someone who is better than me at arranging music because i am so not ready for show)that i've been dreaming of putting together so like... am i really not a wook?
Yes, hello, I'd like to sign up for the grateful dead tribute choir. We can just sing all the jammy bits so I think we can get past needing instruments and I can bring my ukulele I never learned play, it won't hold a tune but 3 more members and we can make some omelettes
so like, you don't need an instrument i can get those, but if you can read music and are in the san francisco bay area
dear gods i have worked with too many people who can't read music. not in the one i put together myself. if you're in the bay area and can't read music and are still down, let's figure out getting you reading music
i may have mentioned somewhere my instrument costs as much as a house and i don't have one. it's a choir of those. this thing is going to be expensive as fuck and i don't want to jinx it but i maaaay have found a wealthy sponsor who owns a few.
in all my life, of the hundreds of people who play it, i have met two people who own these instruments. i am not one of them. we never get to practice during summer. i slowly go insane every year between Litha and Mabon. and i was already pretty far gone come solstice.
I wish I was there, one day!
if i can ever get this off the ground (and i may need some help from my professional musician's association because i think the current instrument cost total is around... what's 75k per instrument (i never said it was a good house just a house) times 13 players?) i'll let you know.

they are really shitty trailers i been lookin. like i can get you one for 7k but it's a pop-out and all tent.
Yeah but that doesn't really count as a house, like abode sure, but a house has gotta be fixed and have like infrastructure.
i mean i'm looking at getting as lightweight a toy hauler i can get as long as its insulated. should be able to haul at least my insrument (it's big. lots of parts.) around in there, and my bike.
i've heard most of the horror stories, but every one i've heard i've been like "i have fixed that before"
