I mean, technically this example is not infinite in the real world, as quarks and leptons are thought to be a finite size. Once you get below 1 quark or lepton, the finite reduction stops, as we cannot have any particle smaller than the fundamental particles based on our current understanding of the universe. Now, there's also string theory, but we have yet been unable to prove it.
