But they do though. The problem is the timeframe isn't fixed. Could be tomorrow could be 20 years. That's the monkeys paw in action.
The imaginary forces of good are always just over the horizon for some reason.

"Monkeys paw" is a reference to an old short story, and in this context it boils down to "be careful what you wish for"

I think he was going for the "and everyone lived happily ever after" business common to tgose stories. Reality tends not to wrap up so neatly.
Nah I was more going for things never happen as we expect or hope.
