I'm sorry, you have misunderstood his words, he doesn't want better drugs or safer drugs, he wants more drugs approved, fewer hurdles to sell his buddies snake oil
This is the point everyone misses. Hes not asking for more medical research to be done, hes asking for the standards for approval to be lowered or eliminated.
