The nearly 1,200-metre bridge is said to be the longest bridge in the world that will exclusively serve pedestrians, cyclists and trams.

The news stories also claim the bridge the tallest in Finland as the pylon reaches 135 meters above sea, but the free height for boats below the bridge is only 20 meters.
