it wasn't the pedophilia, the raping, the fraud, the tens of thousands of lies, the pornstar hush money, "grab'em by the pussy," "suckers and losers," the support for genocide and pointless bullshit iran war--no, it was the ai jesus pic that pushed them over the edge...

Nothing gets fake Christians upset than someone out fake Christianing them.

[-] gh0stb4tz@lemmy.world 34 points 4 days ago

Gloriously accurate statement.

[-] Vinylraupe@lemmy.zip 23 points 4 days ago

Life is full of miracles.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago

Which isn't even really new information. He's compared himself to Jesus multiple times and blasphemed publicly a few times that I'm aware of.

[-] U7826391786239@piefed.zip 8 points 4 days ago

i am also occasionally guilty of operating on the assumption that anything about maga voters makes any sense whatsoever

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Well, something about them does make sense. They are all a bunch of scared babies who want a mean daddy to fix all their problems (which are apparently 100% just brown people).

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 15 points 4 days ago

This isn't the first one made of him. So it took a few to push people over.

A reminder that it isn't Trump, but the ones who support him that are the problem, and there are so many of them. And even they are also just a symptom of a deeper illness. A self-perpetuating one.

[-] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 16 points 4 days ago

Yeah but one man being a problem is solved easily by putting that man in prison. A hundred million supporters can't be solved so easily.

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 2 points 4 days ago

There are lots of problems, but some are more dependent on the others, so pick your battles. There are also predicaments. Whether or not the biggest problems are really that is debatable. But have to start somewhere.

[-] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Right, you just literally said Trump wasn't a problem, which is quite obviously false. I know what you meant, but it sounded bad.

They want something to be nominally angry about because we all made fun of them for only caring about gas prices. This is cover. I won't assume intentionality where irrationality has always reigned, but the holier-than-thou crowd prefers a spiritual boogeyman to admitting they are just selfish little children.

They're just like the muslim extremists they love to make fun of, one meme of their prophet and they lose their shit

[-] megopie 2 points 4 days ago

I think that they were willing to go along with just about anything, so long as it seemed like he was a path to power. But, from their perspective, he’s committed the ultimate faux pa, he made gas prices go up. So his political agenda is dead in the water with no chance of recovery. This stuff is just the excuse to back away without loosing face.

[-] HulkSmashBurgers@reddthat.com 1 points 4 days ago

Don't forget rising gas prices.

[-] tempest@lemmy.ca 1 points 4 days ago

They are mad but they will still vote red down the ticket.
