Posting Threadiverse URLs gets posts automatically shadowbanned on Reddit, unfortunately; people should go into more detail when recommending Lemmy or Piefed though. People jump in expecting a 1:1 Reddit experience, and end up getting confused by federation and giving up.
I will if they reply with a grievance or query, to be fair. I just don't want to copy and paste a dump of information at them across the thread.
reddit comes down hard on any unaffiliated links.
