So what did we accomplish?
…What did we go in to accomplish, for that matter?
I'm not talking about distractions, that's fine to discuss, but as far as I'm aware, I've not heard any justification for why we went in and that we've reached any objectives.
The new guy elected is somehow even more of a hardliner and I've read he definitely wants nukes. So we got iran to commit to nukes probably. Plus, we saw how well America has adapted to drone warfare. So, yay? What's a couple dozen billion dollars to military industry friends, some combat experience, some dead americans, and destabilizing the world economy?
A really salient point. What is the purported reason for this war?
As a not-american im really, really sick of this shit. Im on the other side of the world, we have a stable democracy and elected a centre left government.
Yet, fuel prices have jumped, inflation to follow, and yesterday I learned that fuel shortages are a very real possibility.
Additionally theyre talking about deploying our troops to the region, which will probably include my nephew.
While i understand that not all americans are at fault, and some of you have even been doing your best, as a nation I... dislike you immensely.
As a nation, I dislike us immensely as well. :|
Well that's pretty fucken reasonable since the US is almost by definition not a nation. It's a civic empire containing a multitude of nations, not too dissimilar to the Roman Empire.
Why, Iran was mere seconds away from having a nuclear bomb!
