Awful Systems will be putting up and maintaining a list of open source software that is tainted with LLM code, inspired by a previous project.

We have already had many helpful suggestions for additional homework from concerned moderates, and we thank Dr King for his advice on concerned moderates. I'm sure commenters on Masto will add many more homework suggestions, though nobody asked. We would expect better of Awful Systems commenters than to do that here.

What we really need is a new name that's anywhere near as good as OpenSlopWare. Those suggestions, we would most welcome. Anyone got ideas that aren't actually profane? PromptFuckerCode(tm) is right out.

In keeping with the emphasis on Open Source, I thought of that old adage about not keeping one's mind too open. I feel like there's got to be a good bit somewhere in there about projects who's Brain Fell Out. The BFO List or something of that nature maybe?

Alternatively, something about vibe coding? Vibe-based Open Software? Source Open, Bad Vibes?
