These comments are operating under the hypothetical premise that it is literally a human consciousness. They're essentially describing what they want to do to people if there were no legal consequences. It's very revealing in many ways.

Surgeons kill dozens of people, hundreds if they work hard enough in their lives. I don't kill people, therefore they're evil while I'm not, thus fantasizing about torturing them is okay. This is effectively your logic.
