Surgeons kill dozens of people, hundreds if they work hard enough in their lives. I don't kill people, therefore they're evil while I'm not, thus fantasizing about torturing them is okay. This is effectively your logic.

AI and robotics will continue detecting cancer sooner than humans and performing life saving surgery. Geoengineers will solve climate concerns. Technology will continue to streamline judicial systems, health care, education, leisure...
