@codinghorror @dgerard @frezik batteries are also on a tear and combined with solar/wind already had an LCOE of just about the same as nuclear in 2023. To the extent there is a case for nuclear, it’s undermined by how long it takes to spin up a reactor compared to the annual advances in scaling renewables and batteries.
