His supermarket probably has house brands of spicy brown and Dijon mustards. They will taste no different. It's not like Ketchup where only one company knows how to make it.
There's one brand of mustard I genuinely love and would go way out of my normal wheelhouse to get.
It's called Lars Own and I've never had better mustard before or since

And they're about the same price as regular yellow.
I've found most in-house brands from your supermarkets taste nearly identical to Heinz.
Yeah, it's better these days. But growing up, it was pretty much just Heinz.
Only one company knows how to make ketchup?

I buy Hunts nearly exclusively. No /s needed. Heinz sucks imo. Any ketchup with corn syrup is an immediate rejection.
But I like tomato paste, like, I'll just straight up have a dab of tomato paste when I use it, like a fuckin psycho.
