Recent screenings of the movies "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" have been marred by disruptive behavior from audience members. Incidents include individuals being naked in the theater, drunken outbursts, cellphone use, and exhibitionism. Experts suggest that a combination of recent collective traumas, cellphone culture, and a desire for constant stimulation may be contributing factors. Movie theater policies and enforcement are being relied upon to address the issue, but some argue that disruptive behavior is becoming normalized in public spaces.
