I fully understand, some songs hit you weird even if they didn't mean to.
I really enjoyed listening to Led Zeppelin's Gallows Pole until someone told me that the hangman sleeps with the guy's sister, but then hangs him and the sister.
At some point I reread the lyrics and did some research, and now I think her "gallows pole" is the hangman's dick, but still, I spent years thinking that the song was even darker than it really was, and now, even though I know it's not correct, I can't help but feel really uncomfortable when listening to it.
And it is not like scrubs is some masterpiece that needs to be listened to anyway.

Also, the inability to meet your goals doesn't make you a loser any more than meeting them makes you a winner. Keep striving for your goals dude, even if life only ever gives you shit sandwiches, the desire to move forward and be better is what makes someone a worthwhile person.
